1. Company Information

2. Definitions
“Real Life Style” – The rental service provider, trading as Real Life Style, a division of Mpact Amplified (Pty) Ltd.
“You” or “Customer” – The individual renting Garments from Real Life Style.
“Garment(s)” – Any clothing or accessories made available for hire by Real Life Style.
“Rental Period” – The agreed duration of the hire as confirmed in your booking.
“Rental Fee” – The hire fee payable for the Garment(s) as set out in your booking.
“Late Fee” – The daily charge incurred for Garments returned after the end of the Rental Period, as set out in Section 9.
“Repair Fee” – The reasonable cost of repairing a damaged Garment where repair is possible, including but not limited to professional spot cleaning, sewing, or restoration, charged at actual cost.
“Replacement Fee” – The total cost to Real Life Style of replacing a Garment that is lost, not returned, or damaged beyond reasonable repair. For locally sourced Garments, this is the current local retail replacement value. For internationally sourced Garments — which form a significant part of our inventory — this includes the purchase price in the applicable foreign currency converted at the prevailing exchange rate at the time of replacement, plus all costs necessarily incurred to procure a replacement, including but not limited to international shipping, import duties, customs charges, and handling fees. The Replacement Fee applicable to each Garment is recorded by Real Life Style and is available to you on request at the time of booking.
“Utmost Care” – The standard of careful handling, maintenance, and protection required of you to ensure Garments are returned in the same condition as received, free from damage, alteration, contamination, or exposure to any substance that could cause harm.
“Collect and Return” – A rental arrangement where you personally collect the Garment(s) from Real Life Style’s premises and return them in person at the end of the Rental Period.
“Courier Rental” – A rental arrangement where Garment(s) are delivered to and collected from you by a courier service arranged by Real Life Style.
“Try-On Appointment” – A pre-booked in-person fitting session at Real Life Style’s premises, booked through the website, for the purpose of assessing fit and style prior to a confirmed rental booking.
3. Rental Period
The standard Rental Period is 4 (four) days. Rentals must be booked in advance. For Courier Rentals, delivery is recommended at least two days before the event to allow for transit time. Extensions are subject to availability and additional charges as set out in Section 13.
4. Use and Care of Garments
4.1 You must handle all Garments with Utmost Care and use them only for their intended purpose.
4.2 You may not wash, alter, iron, steam, or attempt to clean any rented Garment yourself. All cleaning is performed exclusively by Real Life Style using professional cleaning services.
4.3 You must keep Garments away from food, beverages, makeup, fake tan, body oils, perfume residue, deodorant build-up, and any surface or substance that may cause staining, discolouration, snagging, or damage.
4.4 If a spill, stain, snag, tear, or any other damage occurs during the Rental Period — however minor — you must notify Real Life Style immediately and in any event no later than the time of return. Failure to disclose damage may be treated as wilful concealment and affect the fees assessed.
4.5 Any damage beyond normal wear and tear will result in a Repair Fee or Replacement Fee as set out in Section 5.
5. Damage, Repairs, and Replacement
5.1 All Garments are inspected by Real Life Style upon return. Where damage is identified, we will assess whether repair is reasonably possible.
5.2 Where damage is repairable — including minor tears, loose seams, or spot-treatable stains — Real Life Style will arrange professional repair or cleaning and charge you the actual cost incurred. Examples include:
• Professional spot cleaning – charged at cost
• Sewing or seam repair – charged at cost
• Minor restoration or finishing work – charged at cost
5.3 Where damage is beyond reasonable repair — including but not limited to large or permanent tears, irreversible staining (such as pen ink, oil, chemical damage, or heavy discolouration), or structural damage to the Garment — you will be liable for the full Replacement Fee as defined in Section 2, in addition to any applicable Late Fees.
5.4 You acknowledge and agree that the Replacement Fee for internationally sourced Garments may exceed the local retail price, as it reflects the true cost of replacement including international shipping, import duties, and customs charges.
5.5 Real Life Style will notify you in writing of any damage assessment and the applicable fee prior to charging your payment method.
5.6 Our assessment of damage and the associated costs shall be final, subject to your right to raise a dispute in accordance with Section 20.
5.7 If you identify any pre-existing defects or damage upon receipt of a Garment, you must notify Real Life Style in writing within 4 (four) hours of receipt. Failure to do so may result in liability for that damage upon return.
6. Try-On Appointments
6.1 Try-On Appointments may be booked through the Real Life Style website and are subject to availability.
6.2 A Try-On Appointment is a courtesy service to assist with sizing and selection. It does not constitute a confirmed rental booking.
6.3 The following duty of care applies to all Try-On Appointments without exception:
(a) No makeup, foundation, lipstick, lip gloss, bronzer, or similar cosmetic products may be worn when trying on Garments. We recommend attending with a bare face; disposable face covers may be provided by Real Life Style.
(b) Proper personal hygiene is required, with particular attention to underarm hygiene. A clean undergarment or modesty cover must be worn under any Garment that makes contact with the underarm area; these may be provided by Real Life Style on request.
(c) Self-tanning products, body oils, and heavy lotions must not be present on the skin when trying on Garments.
(d) Shoes must be removed when trying on full-length Garments to avoid damage to the hemline.
6.4 If a Garment is soiled, stained, or damaged during a Try-On Appointment due to a failure to observe the duty of care in clause 6.3, you will be liable for the cost of professional dry cleaning or repair at actual cost. Where damage is irreparable, the full Replacement Fee will apply.
6.5 Real Life Style reserves the right to decline to proceed with a Try-On Appointment where the duty of care requirements in clause 6.3 have clearly not been met.
7. Payment
Real Life Style accepts the following payment methods:
✔ Credit / Debit Cards
✔ EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)
✔ PayFast / Other Secure Payment Gateways
All transactions are processed in South African Rand (ZAR). Full payment is required to confirm a booking.
8. Card Acquiring and Security
Payments are processed securely via an accredited third-party payment gateway. Real Life Style does not store card details. All payment data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection and payment security standards.
9. Late Fees
9.1 A Late Fee of R100.00 (one hundred rand) per day applies for each day a Garment is returned after the last day of the Rental Period.
9.2 Late Fees begin accruing from the day immediately following the last day of the Rental Period.
9.3 If a Garment is not returned within 7 (seven) days of the end of the Rental Period, the provisions of Section 11 (Failure to Return) will apply in addition to all accrued Late Fees.
10. Acknowledgement of Liability for Additional Fees
10.1 By completing a booking with Real Life Style, you acknowledge and agree that you may be liable for additional fees beyond the Rental Fee, including Late Fees, Repair Fees, Replacement Fees, Cancellation Fees, dry cleaning fees, and re-delivery or re-collection charges, as set out in these Terms and Conditions.
10.2 Where any such additional fee is incurred, Real Life Style will notify you in writing and issue a payment request detailing the amount due and the reason for the charge.
10.3 Payment of any additional fee is due within 5 (five) business days of the payment request being issued, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10.4 Non-payment of any amount due to Real Life Style may result in the matter being referred to a debt collection agency or pursued through civil legal proceedings. Any costs reasonably incurred by Real Life Style in recovering an outstanding amount may be added to the amount owed.
11. Failure to Return Garments
11.1 If a Garment is not returned within 7 (seven) days of the end of the Rental Period, Real Life Style will charge you the full Replacement Fee as defined in Section 2, in addition to all Late Fees accrued to that date.
11.2 For the avoidance of doubt, the Replacement Fee for internationally sourced Garments will reflect the true cost of replacement including foreign currency conversion, international shipping, import duties, and customs charges, and may therefore significantly exceed any local retail price.
11.3 The charging of a Replacement Fee does not transfer ownership of the Garment to you. Real Life Style retains the right to demand return of the Garment and to pursue any further remedies available in law.
11.4 Real Life Style reserves the right to pursue civil or criminal proceedings in cases of non-return where appropriate.
12. Availability of Garments
All rentals are subject to availability. If a Garment is inaccurately reflected as available and cannot be fulfilled, Real Life Style will offer a full refund or a suitable alternative at your election. Our liability in such circumstances is limited to the refund of the Rental Fee paid.
13. Extension of Rental Period
To extend your Rental Period, you must contact Real Life Style at least 48 (forty-eight) hours before the end of your current Rental Period. Extensions are subject to availability and attract an additional daily charge. An extension is only confirmed once payment for the additional period has been received.
14. Cancellation Policy
14.1 10 or more Business Days before the Rental Start Date: Full refund of the Rental Fee or store credit, at your election.
14.2 Between 7 and 9 Business Days before the Rental Start Date: No cash refund. A gift card or store credit equal to the Rental Fee paid will be issued.
14.3 Less than 7 Business Days before the scheduled shipping or collection date: No refund. A gift card or store credit may be issued at Real Life Style’s sole discretion.
14.4 After shipping or collection has taken place: No refund or exchange. Store credit may be issued for the balance of the Rental Fee after deduction of actual shipping and professional cleaning costs incurred.
14.5 All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or through the website.
15. Returns
15.1 Garments must be returned on the last day of the Rental Period or at the agreed time communicated by Real Life Style. It is your responsibility to ensure the Garment is packaged correctly and ready for return on time.
15.2 The correct return method depends on your rental arrangement, as follows:
15.3 Collect and Return (in-person):
(a) If you personally collected the Garment from Real Life Style’s premises, you must return it in person to the same premises.
(b) The Garment must be returned on its original Real Life Style hanger, placed inside the Real Life Style garment bag in which it was provided.
(c) Returns that do not include the RLS hanger and RLS garment bag may incur a replacement charge for missing items.
15.4 Courier Return:
(a) If your Garment was delivered to you by courier, it must be returned via courier collection arranged by Real Life Style.
(b) You must place the Garment inside the drawstring bag in which it was originally delivered to you.
(c) The courier will supply the poly mailer outer packaging at the time of collection. You do not need to provide your own packaging for courier returns.
(d) You must ensure someone is present at the collection address on the agreed collection date and time. Failure to be available for collection may result in a re-collection fee.
15.5 Regardless of return method, Garments must not be folded in a manner that causes fabric damage, and must not be packed alongside objects that could cause harm to the fabric or embellishments.
15.6 Failure to follow the correct return instructions may result in additional charges, including charges for missing packaging items or damage caused by improper packing.
15.7 Real Life Style is not responsible for loss or damage to Garments while in transit with a courier, provided the return packaging and handover instructions in this section have been followed. In the event of courier loss or damage, Real Life Style will assist you in lodging a claim with the relevant courier.
16. Sizing, Warranties, and Representations
16.1 Real Life Style makes no warranties regarding fit, comfort, or suitability for any particular occasion. We will assist with a size exchange where an alternative size is available.
16.2 For returns arising solely from sizing issues (where the Garment is undamaged and unworn beyond the fitting), you will receive a gift card equal to the Rental Fee, excluding delivery and dry cleaning fees. An administrative fee may apply.
16.3 Minor differences may exist between online images and the actual appearance of Garments due to photographic lighting, screen calibration, or natural variation in fabric and embellishment.
16.4 Real Life Style’s maximum aggregate liability to you is limited to the Rental Fee paid for the relevant booking, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct on our part.
17. Commitment to Garment Care
17.1 All Garments are professionally cleaned and inspected before each rental. You may not wash, dry-clean, or otherwise attempt to launder any rented Garment yourself.
17.2 If you identify any pre-existing defects upon receipt, you must notify Real Life Style in writing within 4 (four) hours. This protects you from liability for damage that was pre-existing at the time of delivery.
18. Delivery
18.1 For Courier Rentals, you must ensure that a responsible person is present at the delivery address to receive the Garment. Real Life Style is not responsible for Garments left unattended after a failed delivery attempt.
18.2 A re-delivery fee may apply where a delivery attempt fails due to no one being present or an incorrect address having been provided.
19. Force Majeure and Miscellaneous
19.1 Force Majeure: Real Life Style is not liable for delays or failures to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, civil unrest, strikes, or transport disruptions. We will notify you as soon as possible and offer a refund or rescheduled rental where applicable.
19.2 Severability: If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
19.3 Whole Agreement: These Terms and Conditions, together with your booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Real Life Style in respect of the rental.
20. Identification Verification
20.1 To protect both parties and prevent fraud, Real Life Style reserves the right to request a valid form of identification from the Customer at any of the following stages:
✔ During the online checkout process on our website
✔ Upon delivery of Garments, to be verified by the courier
✔ Upon collection of Garments from our physical studio
20.2 Acceptable forms of identification are a valid South African identity document (ID number) or a valid passport (passport number).
20.3 Real Life Style reserves the right to decline to proceed with a rental booking or to withhold delivery of Garments where satisfactory identification has not been provided.
20.4 Any personal information collected for identification purposes will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and will be used solely for the purpose of verifying your identity in connection with your rental.
21. Amendment of Terms and Conditions
Real Life Style reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or website update at least 7 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
22. Dispute Resolution
22.1 If you have a complaint or dispute arising from a rental, please contact Real Life Style in writing at info@reallifestyle.co.za in the first instance. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly.
22.2 If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may refer the matter to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) or such other body as may be appropriate under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.
22.3 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any unresolved disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
Acceptance
By completing a booking with Real Life Style, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.

In the event of courier loss or damage, Real Life Style will assist you in lodging a claim with the relevant courier.
16. Sizing, Warranties, and Representations
16.1 Real Life Style makes no warranties regarding fit, comfort, or suitability for any particular occasion. We will assist with a size exchange where an alternative size is available.
16.2 For returns arising solely from sizing issues (where the Garment is undamaged and unworn beyond the fitting), you will receive a gift card equal to the Rental Fee, excluding delivery and dry cleaning fees. An administrative fee may apply.
16.3 Minor differences may exist between online images and the actual appearance of Garments due to photographic lighting, screen calibration, or natural variation in fabric and embellishment.
16.4 Real Life Style’s maximum aggregate liability to you is limited to the Rental Fee paid for the relevant booking, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct on our part.
17. Commitment to Garment Care
17.1 All Garments are professionally cleaned and inspected before each rental. You may not wash, dry-clean, or otherwise attempt to launder any rented Garment yourself.
17.2 If you identify any pre-existing defects upon receipt, you must notify Real Life Style in writing within 4 (four) hours. This protects you from liability for damage that was pre-existing at the time of delivery.
18. Delivery
18.1 For Courier Rentals, you must ensure that a responsible person is present at the delivery address to receive the Garment. Real Life Style is not responsible for Garments left unattended after a failed delivery attempt.
18.2 A re-delivery fee may apply where a delivery attempt fails due to no one being present or an incorrect address having been provided.
19. Force Majeure and Miscellaneous
19.1 Force Majeure: Real Life Style is not liable for delays or failures to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, civil unrest, strikes, or transport disruptions. We will notify you as soon as possible and offer a refund or rescheduled rental where applicable.
19.2 Severability: If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
19.3 Whole Agreement: These Terms and Conditions, together with your booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Real Life Style in respect of the rental.
20. Identification Verification
20.1 To protect both parties and prevent fraud, Real Life Style reserves the right to request a valid form of identification from the Customer at any of the following stages:
✔ During the online checkout process on our website
✔ Upon delivery of Garments, to be verified by the courier
✔ Upon collection of Garments from our physical studio
20.2 Acceptable forms of identification are a valid South African identity document (ID number) or a valid passport (passport number).
20.3 Real Life Style reserves the right to decline to proceed with a rental booking or to withhold delivery of Garments where satisfactory identification has not been provided.
20.4 Any personal information collected for identification purposes will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and will be used solely for the purpose of verifying your identity in connection with your rental.
21. Amendment of Terms and Conditions
Real Life Style reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or website update at least 7 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
22. Dispute Resolution
22.1 If you have a complaint or dispute arising from a rental, please contact Real Life Style in writing at info@reallifestyle.co.za in the first instance. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly.
22.2 If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may refer the matter to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) or such other body as may be appropriate under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.
22.3 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any unresolved disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

By completing a booking with Real Life Style, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
