How does the rental process work? 

Browse our collection online and book your desired garment for a specified period. You can choose between delivery/collection or a scheduled pick-up in Wendywood. 

Do you accept walk-ins?  

Unfortunately, no walk-ins are allowed. You must schedule a try-on appointment.  

How long do I get to rent the garment?

The standard rental period is 4 days. Please note that deliveries and collections do not take place over weekends. If you need a garment for the weekend, schedule a pick-up or delivery for Friday.

Can I extend my rental period?

Yes! You can extend your rental for an additional fee, depending on the garment and the length of the extension. Email info@reallifestyle.co.za for updated pricing and availability.  

The garment doesn’t fit — what now?

If the garment doesn’t fit, let us know within a reasonable time on the day you receive it.  

Johannesburg customers: You may visit the studio to find an alternative.  

Otherwise, we can assist with an exchange or issue store credit.

How do delivery and returns work? 

When booking, you can choose:  

Delivery/collection by courier  

Scheduled pick-up from our studio  

After your event, repack the garment in the RLS bag and the poly mailer. You can either:  

  1. Arrange for courier collection on the last day of your rental  
  2. Drop it off at the studio at your scheduled return time 

Can I try on the garment before committing? 

Absolutely! If you're in Johannesburg, you can book a try-on appointment to view and try on the garment you're interested in, or browse through our available options. The try-on fee is R200.

Appointments begin at the top of the hour. Please arrive on time—there is a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals. After that, the appointment will be considered a no-show, your try-on fee will be forfeited, and you will need to rebook.

Each session is scheduled for 45 minutes (as noted in your confirmation email), though they are typically shorter. We often accommodate two clients per session, so time is shared.

Try-on appointments are subject to availability. To help us prepare, please include the specific garment(s) you're interested in when making your booking.

Am I responsible for cleaning the garment? 

Nope! Just enjoy the garment, show up as your best self, and pack it carefully for return. We’ll handle the cleaning

Garment care & handling 

Minor wear and tear: Covered in your rental fee.  

Significant damage or loss: May result in additional charges or replacement fees.  

No alterations: Please don’t make adjustments to the garment.  

Accidental spills: Let us know, but don’t try to clean it yourself.  

Wrinkles & creases: We recommend using a steamer. If ironing is necessary, do so with extreme care, as burns will incur liability.  

Cancellations & refunds 

Before dispatch: Cancellations may be eligible for store credit.  

After dispatch: We cannot process cancellations or refunds once the garment has been shipped.

Returning Your Garment

Once you've enjoyed your rental, kindly have it ready for collection by placing it in the return packaging provided.
